I've always been inspired French architecture and interior design, with its intricate molding, framing details and gilded flourishes. In this paper sculpture, I wanted to create my dream Parisian apartment complete with a balcony for daydreaming.

For this sculpture, I wanted to challenge myself to work even more in the 3D space than I had in the past. It was the first time I had built a stand-alone piece of 3D furniture out of paper, not adhered to a wall and allowed me to use a bit of my engineering brain for the structure. I had way too much fun making the adorable tiny pastries, for which I also ventured into using beads for the choux pastries and raspberries, as well as a bit of foam for the macaron fillings.
I also wanted to truly capture all of the intricate layers within the architecture of the wall, but using several layers to create various levels of depth.

This was the second paper sculpture that I had created in my "shopfront" collection that came about as a creative experiment during Covid. It's one of my favorite pieces that I've made to date, as I love the fanciful composition and the bold, candied color scheme. I was watching a lot of Cinderella at the time, (one of my comfort movies), which certainly influenced the poofy, elegant dresses in the shop windows.

Inspired by one of the most whimsical and romantic scenes of all time from Walt Disney's Mary Poppins, this scene includes a 3D paper carousel and two charming friends. I've always loved this scene and the innovative use of 2D animation incorporated with live actors.
This 3D diorama was created in 2023 and is comprised of Bristol paper, gouache, iridescent paper, wooden dowels, wooden beads, glass beads, foam modeling clay, foamboard and glue.
This is my largest 3D piece to date and one of the pieces that I'm most proud of. It's not secret that I'm a huge Disney Parks history nerd and the Jungle Cruise attraction has always enchanted me. In general, I hold a bit of a fascination with vintage explorers, archaeology and a great tale of adventure, so this attraction is really up my Alley (did you think we could talk about the Jungle Cruise without any bad puns?)
What simply began as me creating a model of the original 50's cruise ships, grew into a multi-level Outpost and eventually, into a full cruise scene. This is my own personal take on the classic attraction, filled with colorful flair and whimsical details.
